Itâs worth noting that the Huawei Watch 2 is more a smartwatch than a fitness tracker, so it feels a little heavier and the battery life is terrible, struggling to last a whole day. On the other hand, it’s also got a lot of functionality for a watch.
Huawei are doing some strange things with the fitness stuff on this smartwatch. To make it work, you need to download two mobile apps. Then there’s seven pre-installed health apps on the watch itself: youâve got Daily Tracking, Fit, Fit Workout, Heart Rate, Runtastic, Sleep, and Workout.Â
What makes it extra ridiculous is that the Daily Tracking app has literally everything youâd ever need in it, a pedometer, an activity timer, a standing timer, calories, distance, height climbed, and charming graphs to display all this. The only other ones youâll need are Sleep and potentially Workout.
Anyway, aside from all that,Â itâs really rather good. Daily Tracking has all the information already in charts and displayed across the whole week without needing to look at your phone app (which, as far as I can see, is only necessary for keeping the data for longer than a week.) Also, the sleep tracking capability is very good; from my results, I’d say it’s the most accurate of the lot.
